Trying out a new version of this blue/green deck I'm trying to perfect. Added more mana, more removal/counters, and more merfolk. The merfolk really chain well off each other, even when someone else is playing with sacrificial creatures/artifacts. Once I get cards out that make my creatures cost less to play and get out enough mana/cards I can ramp with, the merfolk chain off each other really well.

Ramping:

Burgeoning + Carpet of Flowers give for some good ramp at the start of the game, if you draw them. Cultivate, Circuitous Route,Rampant Growth, and Tempt with Discovery find use after the first few turns and you don't have land cards in your hand anymore.

Simic Signet, Thought Vessel, and Thran Dynamo are great to have when you play against decks which limit your land-based mana.

Chaining:

It's good to get some of the low cost Merfolk out first to get some protection. They buff up pretty quickly when you can get cards like Bred for the Hunt, Doubling Season, or Hardened Scales out. They buff up the low-cost cards like Kumena's Speaker, Mist-Cloaked Herald, Deeproot Elite, or Lord of Atlantis. These cards get buffed from cards like Master of the Pearl Trident, Merfolk Mistbinder, Merfolk Sovereign, and Merrow Reejerey

The Drawing Cards:

Lorescale Coatl is one of my favorite cards to get out because it's relatively cheap and buffs every turn because of the draw step, and it works well with the cards that cause you to draw beyond your initial draw phase, like Cold-Eyed Selkie, Thrasios, Triton Hero, Tishana, Voice of Thunder, Aquitect's Will, Bident of Thassa, Bred for the Hunt,, Covenant of Minds, and Guardian Project.
