Let's talk about Tish. She's big, she's expensive. Hell, she doesn't carry much protection for herself. But I see so much potential in her design. Elfballing? C'mon guys! She's a merfolk, so let us Tribal this girl up a bit and with Ixalan we have a healthy dose of Merfolk to use. I'll also try to keep this deck as budget as possible as some cards are pretty hard to come by now.
Now, I can see why players see Tishana as more of a elf deck. Elves propogate faster than two unfixed rabbits on Rockstar Energy Drinks(TM). But we've got perfectly good blue to use here. A bit of control please rabbits. By rabbits I mean dorks, mana dorks. And merfolk got none of that. But atleast merfolk aren't completely useless!
Here's my thoughts on her. Tishana seems more of a big creature to swing with. But as a commander, she is pretty small when compared to some of the other massive commander threats. So my thoughts are leading me to think she's best left swimming under the waves. Evasion I feel is something she can take complete advantage with, and Merfolk can provide.

Because **** you. These are merfolk tribal not Sea-elf tribal. I'm gonna have fun with this shit. Also, because yes, Edric is just better and he can be switched for Tish at any point for a faster play format. But... Merfolks!!!
Lords are your best friend here. And Merfolks provide such friends. Many friends. Lord of Atlantis and Master of the Pearl Trident are two that let you visit your neighboring islands. And Merfolk Sovereign knows someone who'll let you through customs without question. Maybe you just need a pal that helps you refocus like Merrow Reejerey or even this ugly guy.
It's not just about Lords, there's quite a few of them which is pretty typical for tribal decks. The main fix here is Deck Draw. If your hand size is smaller than the inchage of your genitals you're losing my tiny handsized friend. Because when you feel the trobbing mass of a handsize that's about the size of a standard 40 card constructed deck, you'll never forget that feeling. So lets talk cards.Cold-Eyed Selkie was a no brainer. She's easy to boost with lords and she's one mean ass bi*ch when she has some Prada's. Getting her to 5 isn't hard and giving her a way to break some dude's heart and wallet isn't much harder with her Wingmen Merfolk Sovereign and Merrow Levitator even some nice fashion such as the newest Whispersilk Cloak would be suitable.Prime Speaker Zegana is Tish's main squeeze. If Tish is out, Zegana is out there hitting up bars too. Why say no to drawing 21 more cards or doing the 21 shot challenge?Overbeing of Myth. Okay. Look. this is one of those cards and a few other's I didn't add that make Edric a better commander. But this one suits what I'm trying to build around Tish. With the extra card draw, this card can really help give Tish more power every turn. And it's not a terrible idea to play Progenitor Mimic on. WARNING: I HAVE MILLED MYSELF USING THIS COMBO. BE WARNED. Check yourself before you wreck yourself
Dakra Mystic is like that one cute girl who just doesn't want to do much in the party. She's good at drawing every now and again, but she's surprisingly good at reading the mood of the party. I think it's safe to say she's alright sticking around.
Bident of Thassa and Edric, Spymaster of Trest These two cards will really speed up your card draw if you're squad is pretty mean.
Skullclamp is a pretty great card if you can pull it off somehow. My best option is to bring out Master of Waves to produce elemental tokens to sacrifice to the Skullclamp god. Good thing there's a few card options to grab these two cards together. It's called draw more cards!

Now let's talk about how to win this game. As soon as you're able or safest, play Tish. Maybe you'll have maybe 4 cards in hand maybe 2 or 3 creatures. some cases you can have many more creatures out. So you'll be drawing more cards, making Tish more powerful. Now lets hope that you've drew into Aqueous Form Hold that shit right there boy. You're playing "commander" and not playing "pre-ejaculating on your lovers back". You have the win in your hand but you need to wait until you're 21. Being legal is as important as consent. Except in commander; Everyone breaks truces. When You're 21, go at em. One shot kill those that stand in your way of your tribal empire! If they can't block you, you win.
Now this deck is pretty easy to play against. But that's why you play Blue control to protect yourself. You see something you don't like? Dissipate it. Cancel that thought. Maybe Spell Pierce or Spell Rupture them. Nullify their plays and show em how a Dream Fractures. Bend them to your Supreme Will.

Anyways, for the most part, there's a fair bit of other cards that provide Evasion and offer protection, to help give more odds of slamming the game to a close.
The deck itself seems to play just fine even if Tishana is unable to get on the board as I've noticed from several test plays where opponents seem to notice how the deck works and try to prevent her from getting into play.
Another Note to make: I made this from cards I owned and going to a local shop for a few cards here and there. I'm aware of cards such as Thought Vessel or card:Brain Geyser. There's even 200$ cards that would suit this deck better than other cards I listed. But this is what I had on hand and what I'm showcasing.
