Sideboard

This is a newer updated version of my Junk Tokens deck (see my profile).

This deck has stood up to the test of many deck types in all formats and have done really well against them. One of the multiplayer matches I played I ended up with over 300 life by the end of the game after being down to 3 life at the low point. The reason behind this was having Trostani, Selesnya's Voice out while creating tokens from Elspeth Tirel with Beastmaster Ascension activated, Intangible Virtue in play along with a Parallel Lives and Doubling Season on the board. That combo alone is 84 life gained (12 tokens x 7 toughness). I was the target that everyone was going after that game which backfired.

Now that I have you enticed. This deck tends to mess with people because on turn two typically a Mayor of Avabruck   comes out and opponents are so focused on him that the tend to ignore the Spirits when they appear. What also have frustrated people before is that the number of creature cards are a minimal. How can I discard a creature when I don't have any?? I have had one player give up because he couldn't control me because his focus was countering creatures. Oops!!!

Windbrisk Heights is a key land since the Hideaway ability usually allows me to put a 4 or 5 drop card under it. Doubling Season or a Planeswalker (Elspeth Tirel or Vraska the Unseen is best).

Since there are a lot of tokens that come out in this deck, a combo with Intangible Virtue is effective since you can attack on your turn and chump block on the next (especially with the flying Spirits). Sacrificing them when needed is common.

The many Planeswalkers also throws people off their base because often there are enough blockers to protect them. One game I have had one of each out. With Doubling Season I was able to ultimate Sorin, Lord of Innistrad and Vraska the Unseen when they came out. A nice bonus.

The sideboard will probably get changed since Collective Blessing is not really needed anymore. The removal cards have been used in the past but not much recently.

As always, your thoughts and comments are welcomed.

Updates Add

Sorry for long overdue update. A friend of mine in another state wanted an updated list to this deck as well as things have been hectic for me but I am still finding time to play with this deck often.

The recent changes to the deck was the removal of Tragic Slip from the sideboard and moving two Luminarch Ascension's into it. Luminarch Ascension is better in the SB since it takes time to get it up and running and there are a lot of agro deck in modern right now. However, if I am playing in a larger free-for-all event I put those in my maindeck.

Two Ajani, Caller of the Prides are now a main-stay in the deck and has definitely paid off big time. In a recent game I played I was able to put out 36 2/2 Cat tokens thanks to having Doubling Season in play with Intangible Virtue which made my Beastmaster Ascension trigger the next turn on attack making these cats huge.

I also put into the deck two Harsh Sustenances and that card helped greatly especially when I was down to below 5 life and had a bunch of spirits tokens out with no other support.

The next major change to the deck will be removing the two Parallel Lives and putting in two additional Doubling Season. my hesitance before was due to the fear of slowing the deck down even more but in certain tests it made no difference.

I hope you like the changes. Any additional thoughts would be great.
