Cheap 1 mana deathtouch creatures (Pharika's Chosen, Typhoid Rats, and Rakdos Shred-Freak) help put out some decent offense and defense early. Plenty of creature kill instants (and Reverberate to copy if the timing is right) keep the board clear for constant per turn damage. 2 and 3 mana cost creatures give some extra perks while keeping creatures on the board turn after turn. Finally, Chandra, the Firebrand or Chandra, Torch of Defiance for some strong planeswalker options and 2 Desecration Demon make for good turn 4 or 5 drops that force the opponent to deal with them or suffer.
