Here is my version of mono black. Not sure if it's complete yet.

Pure devotion, if you can get 3 land in your starting hand ideally one of those being a shrine. You can just about play anything when you need too. Thoughtseize their starting hand giving you the edge! Into either Pack Rat or Devour Flesh, into Nightveil Specter then Desecration Demon and if you can't win from discarding mid game Thoughtseize for the Pack Rat and sheer board presence and keeping opponents creatures to a minimum with Hero's Downfall and Devour Flesh then Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Whip of Erebos will pull you back from the dead long enough to over power most opponents!
