French EDH commander tournament played in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic

finished 20-30 place with 3:3 score, 49 players total (if I remember correctly)

round 1 win 2:0 Nin, the Pain Artist - control- game 1 I won, because my opponent made 2 mistakes - game 2 was a bit boring - some mana dorks > killed, tamiyo > counter, garruk > counter, another pwalker > countered, primeval > countered, then Inferno titan finaly came through and next turn with cascade killed - Inferno Titan max value both games

round 2 loss 0:2 Tasigur, the Golden Fang goodstuff combo? - game 1 almost all lands hand, beaten by tasig + Dark Confidant, broken by mana leak > snapi > mana leak on the only drawn spells - game 2 land screw, gave up after Fact or Fiction revealing snapcaster/reanimate/maelstrom pulse/land/force of will? - I only drew 1 ramp creature in both games, even after mulligan

round 3 loss 0:2 Animar, Soul of Elements - agro-combo? really fast deck- game 1 turn 3 infinite animar with Ancestral Statue and cleared blockers - game 2 hard fight against turn 4 Primeval Titan, I blocked couple times, exiled animar with Karn Liberated, then even killed Painter's Servant, but lost againt to that ugly statue AND primeval still running around...

round 4 win 2:0 Doran, the Siege Tower - midrange goodstuff - some destruction, a lot of discard + equipment - game 1 slow position fight, last lifescore noted 11:11, then overwhelmed opponent by 2nd cascade - game 2 also started slowly, I was a bit flooded, then @ 12 life with 15 doran damage on me I hardcasted Upheaval and then chipped my opponent down to zero on 3rd extra turn after time limit

round 5 win 2:1 Rakdos, Lord of Riots artifact ramp with some infinites and a bit of land destruct (build to play rakdos turn 3 as many times as possible) - game 1 looked terrible, rakdos on board, hit me 2 times, but then I stabilized and managed to win with Sarkhan Unbroken and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon (got those to ultimate, and played wanderer in one turn, then my opponent gave up) - game 2 was a bit weird, I lost to my own "missplay", opponent played ritualed Mikaeus, the Unhallowed turn 3, I attacked with Eternal Witness, hoping he will block by mikaeus (with ral zarek in my hand), completely forgetting "kill all humans" part on the card... witness went to graveyard allowing my opponent to reanimate her, return ritual back to his hand and play Triskelion for the win with exactly the mana needed - game 3 was pretty much one sided - I finished on 29 life after one fetch - opponent's life count - 29/28/27/12/6/0 (killed my wanderer after one attack :))

round 6 loss 0:2 to Child of Alara UB combo/storm deck masked as 5 color :), my deck really showed me some hate...- game 1 lost to Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void combo, I didn't draw or found anything relevant, killed right after first commander play... - game 2 lost to land screw - kept 1 land 3 mana dorks, draw just one more land in 5 turns and my opponent killed my dorks 2 times in a row, then I had to bow down before ultimated Jace, the Mind Sculptor

overall I'm happy with the deck performance, I decided to attend on thursday and with only 2 days of "not very intensive" testing it worked pretty well, I might want some tutors next time, and maybe I'd want to return of the mighty Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker combo stuff, if I decide to play it again...

best card: Inferno Titan - he came, he saw, he burned, I WON!

good ones:

Upheaval - surprisingly good even if hardcasted

Skullclamp - it was good even in Doran matchup, kill your commander? why? chumpblock for 2 cards? yes please :)

Phyrexian Ingester - bad luck finding Duplicant? no problem, he's here for backup

bad meta call:

Dack Fayden - I didn't run into anybody with artifact ramp and wasn't able to steal anything relevant (he wasnt there when Helm of Obedience killed me :))

Grim Lavamancer - had almost nothing to kill, or was dead immediately
