After playing Magic for a year, I got the Ajani and Bolas duel deck. I really liked the basis for the deck. A year later the deck is far from perfect, but even in its' current state its a forced to be reckoned with. I'm not sure what singles I want to eliminate and which ones I want to replicate. Comments on this subject would be much appreciated. I'm a causal player that tries to keep costs at a minimum, so I probably wouldn't follow any +3 Domri Rade instructions. I was lucky enough to get one...
The biggest problem this deck faces is mana. Its hard to get all the right colors while boosting Wild Nacatl, Kird Ape, and Loam Lion. This makes Sylvan Ranger the most important card in the deck. Below is an example for an ideal play of this deck,Turn 1: Loam LionTurn 2: Fleecemane LionTurn 3: Sylvan Ranger, search for mountain and play Kird ApeTurn 4: Instigator Gang, swing for a lot if I can.Turn 5: Monstrous Lion! Flip Instigator Gang!Turn 6: Build and Equip Behemoth Sledge to Lion and swing for a hefty sum.
