Maybeboard

This is my take on a pure tribal deck with purely dragon-themed and specific support cards (things that says Dragons and etc).

With that said, here's a breakdown of some of the important bits about this monstrosity:

Playstyle

Although tribal may sometimes seem very hard to play, with this deck, to some, yes, but it is quite clear cut as to how the deck can be played with.

The strengths of this deck are also its greatest weaknesses as well as this deck relies purely on trying to control the board as much as you can while trying to cast your dragons for the win. The deck is reliable, yes, because dragons as you can see them, are a threat and they can win, but, the minute you have any removals, well, let's just say that you can still recover and try again.

Tribal Synergy

I find that the synergy of this deck works in many different ways and they actually do click with one another. Having said so itself, the following cards have their own synergy:

  1. Dragon Broodmother + Scourge of Valkas = this, by far, is one of the quickest combination dragons that you can always try and get out. Reason being: at every turn itself, you'll be dealing damage (and it gets bigger each turn)

  2. Scourge of Valkas + Utvara Hellkite = Token producers like Utvara, along with Scourge of Valkas, it's just damage upon damage. Imagine attacking with 7 dragons and the offsprings of Utvara pops in?

  3. Bladewing the Risen + any other dragons (preferably with ETB effects e.g. Malfegor or LTB effects such as Kokusho, the Evening Star, Ryusei, the Falling Star)

Tokens

Continuing with the tribal theme, I've included plenty of ways to make more dragons than I could ever possibly stuff into a single deck. When I'm not running with the 'All-Out Dragon Assault' strategy, token production paired with damage engines such as Dragon Tempest or Scourge of Valkas can still put my opponents on a short clock easily. With that said, here's a list of all token producers I'm currently running:

Dragon Broodmother, Utvara Hellkite, Descent of the Dragons

Utility

This is pretty much everything that isn't listed above. Everything here is the oil that keeps this machine running.

Buffs & Pump

Atarka, World Render, Bladewing the Risen, Moonveil Dragon, Crucible of Fire, Rage Reflection

Haste is one of the most important abilities here. You don't want a dragon sitting around for a turn doing nothing and potentially eating removal. My haste enablers include Dragon Tempest, Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund (Himself), Fires of Yavimaya, Fervor, and In the Web of War.

I would so like to look into things that could give my dragons trample abilities, but I think for now, this deck does ample itself to beatdown enemies.

Burn / Removals

Dragon Tempest, Flameblast Dragon, Scourge of Valkas, Scourge of Kher Ridges, Balefire Dragon, Crux of Fate, Steel Hellkite, Overwhelming Forces, Descent of the Dragons

The best combo damage for this is still as mentioned above with Dragon Broodmother + Scourge of Valkas

Draw / Removal+Draw

Greater Good, Harmonize, Overwhelming Forces, and Phyrexian Arena

To actively counter the removal of a dragon from the game (especially with Zirilan of the Claw's ability), try and make sure to have either Greater Good or Goblin Bombardment or Phyrexian Tower out. That way, you'll either replenish your hand OR you can do that extra 1 damage to the opponent or keep that dragon in your graveyard to recur again.

Ramp/Fixing/Cost Reduction

Dragonspeaker Shaman, Cultivate, Farseek, Nature's Lore, Skyshroud Claim, Urza's Incubator, Chromatic Lantern and Coalition Relic

Recursion

Bladewing the Risen, Phyrexian Tower + Volrath's Stronghold

There are times where you'll need to recur some of the dragons so, the above mentioned ones are there to help you. I find that Volrath's Stronghold gives a better access to redraw the dragon after placing it on top of your library, especially when Bladewing the Risen is already in graveyard. 2 dragons for the price of 1 is always what I think is best.

Tutors

Worldly Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Diabolic Tutor, Tooth and Nail, Liliana Vess, lurking predator.

Tutors are just there to look for components to quickly cast the dragons out such as Urza's Incubator and Dragonspeaker Shaman and maybe to fix your mana with Chromatic Lantern or Prismatic Omen.
