This is a Boros Midrange deck designed for the M14 Transition; most cards in it are not rotating out in Theros.

As the name implies this deck is designed around triggers; originally it was just about a top-down build around Firemane Avenger and other Triggered abilities, it seems like Strionic Resonator is the new flagship of this deck since all the triggers contained within can now be duplicated on an as-needed basis!

Here's a breakdown of useful resonator triggers in this deck:

Guttersnipe - copyable 2 damage to opponent

Tablet of the Guilds - copyable 1 or 2 life gain

Firemane Avenger - copyable lighting helix

Tajic - copyable +5/+5 pump

Assemble the Legion - copyable muster counter + soldier tokens trigger, resulting in an exponential increase in soldier production (instead of 1, then 2, then 3, then 4 you would get 3, then 7, then 11, then 15 this can get out of hand VERY quickly)

Zealous Conscripts - copyable "act of treason"

Aurelia - copyable extra combat phase

Archangel of Thune - copyable +1/+1 counter added to each creature on any lifegain event

Ring of Oblivion - copyable exile (it's a "enter the battlefield" trigger so you can exile as many target permanents as you can resonate!)

Christmas Combo:

Firemane Avenger, Archangel of Thune, Aurelia and 1 Strionic Resonator on the battlefield.

Swing with all, use Strionic Resonator to copy Aurelia's extra combat phase.

Lightning helix triggers 1 lifegain event, dealing 3 damage and gaining 3 life.

Firemane Avenger hits as a 4/4 flyer

Archangel of Thune hits as a 4/5 flyer

Aurelia hits as a 4/5 flyer

Add 1 more +1/+1 counter to all creatures and repeat.

lightning helix triggers 1 lifegain event, dealing 3 damage and gaining 3 life.

Firemane Avenger hits as a 6/6 flyer

Archangel of Thune hits as a 6/7 flyer

Aurelia hits as a 6/7 flyer

Add 1 more +1/+1 counter to all creatures and repeat.

lightning helix triggers 1 lifegain event, dealing 3 damage and gaining 3 life.

Firemane Avenger hits as a 8/8 flyer

Archangel of Thune hits as a 8/9 flyer

Aurelia hits as a 8/9 flyer

Add 1 more +1/+1 counter to all creatures.

final creature sizes: 9/9, 9/10, 9/10

Total Damage Dealt: 60

Total Life Gained: 24

Some other cards that do not exist in this deck, but may be possible strionic resonator combos:

Ordruun Veteran - Copy double-strike trigger and apply it to another creature (a pseudo silverblade paladin)

Boros Reckoner - copyable damage reflection trigger (really would prefer this creature to frontline medic or guttersnipe, but alas I have none)

Here are my findings on what I was hoping would make good M14 swap-ins/outs with this deck:

Archangel of Thune - I managed to score 1 by trading one of the new Garruk's at the pre-release night and was most excited about this one, never actually managed to play it in play-testing after changing some cards out though, but this, much like Fiendslayer paladin, really feels like it belongs in a HEAVILY white-centric deck, not in the current deck... I could picture a more creature and protection spell-oriented deck working very well with this, including keeping Tajic and Firemane Avenger in the deck as well as all the 6-drop angels, but the other spells and creatures layout would need to be immensely different; probably make sure every single creature is at least part white, include 3+ frontline medics, multiple nearheath pilgrims, fiendslayer paladins and run 3x or 4x brave the elements for extra protection alongside boros charm and probably drop removal down to a few small red spells and some or all of the warleader's helixes.

Ogre Battledriver - Neat, but far too slow for results I'm looking for; the current deck layout allows me to put a Firemane Avenger or Tajic onto a completely empty board, then swing with 3 creatures on the next turn with zealous conscripts, then potentially Aurelia dual-battalion-swing on the following turn from there.... having a 4-drop which enables haste on the next creature drop does not feel right here; Hellraiser goblins and a large supply of 1- and 2-drops works better if going for a turn-4 battalion swing, and zealous conscripts works best if going for a turn-5 one. This DOES however work AMAZING with Scion of Vitu-Ghazi, which results in a turn-5 swing of over 15 power with just battledriver and scion on the board; if the opponent has no way to block that, it's pretty much game... could work good with that as well as the goblin diplomats to force all enemy creatures to be tapped the turn before for maximum damage... but again, that's not "this" deck.

Young Pyromancer - Makes for decent early game threat, but being just a token generator on a creature he is easily wrathed, further the tokens do not have haste and are not part white so they do not benefit from legion's initiative and are a turn behind on helping out with battalion... amazing in draft, pretty decent for RDW or mono-red burn decks, but doesn't feel "at home" here.

Mindsparker - Much like Fiendslayer paladin, these are both great against specific match-ups, but if your opponent's colors don't match up they seem sub-optimal, albeit mindsparker is a pretty clear "all around better" card than running Wojek Halberdiers, even if costing one more mana and requiring some extra dedication to red... this is probably the most likely creature to make it into this deck, though I'm still unsure about main or sideboard on this one.

Strionic Resonator - Have not yet had the opportunity to get/test this card, though I have a strong feeling it would rock in this deck.

Pyromancer's Gauntlet - Worked great in draft, felt way too slow here though because this is a half-creature-filled deck, even with one of the new Chandra's as well they just don't help that much; these, as well as the new Chandra, Pyromaster, seem to seriously belong in a mono-red burn deck, though Chandra alone is a "nice" addition to this deck, the synergy is only partly there but seems more well-rounded than Ajani here since she can work as a quasi-mugging or one-sided howling mine each turn, and the possibility of a triple warleader's helix is always nice too.

In conclusion, I really hope Theros brings along a suitable replacement for Zealous Conscripts (anything that can give me 2 haste creatures on 1 card), as it seems like conscripts is a pretty important part for this deck to function properly... otherwise, the deck as-is is actually more solid than it was after I tried swapping in any M14 cards... high threat 3-drops to lure the opponent into wasting removal spells, plenty of burn to annihilate aggro creatures until 4/5 mana comes along, and the avenger/conscripts/aurelia combo for mid-late game seems to work best.

Oh, and tablet of the guilds scored me far more life than healer of the pride ever did, so I'm not really sweating losing that card to rotation... and the return of Chandra's Phoenix seems to make for a very welcome addition to this deck, too, but for the most part it doesn't seem like it benefits much from almost anything else that came with the new core set.
