Like the idea of a turbo LD deck... which happens to frustrate certain oppressive pauper decks? Want additional action against go-wide aggro decks? Want to troll your opponents / keep them guessing with a transformational sideboard? Turbo BW pestilence is the deck for you!
Strong pre-board against tron, drake, tron drake, affinity, and other land hungry deck due to the turbo LD.Strong pre-board against go wide aggro decks like bogles and stompy IF you can stick a pestilence early. And with dark rituals there is a good chance you can stick one early.
Game 1)
Ritual into land hate and/or pestilence. Gurman T1 or T2 is also obviously hard to handle if the stars alight. The deck is very creature - light, relying on (resilient) guardian and anglers to bash on damage. Other wincon is classic pestilence - wall of hope drain.
Game 2)
-Against Drake, Angler Delver, Tron, and other big creature decks I side-out the pestilence package and play turbo LD with wrench mind and duress backup. These decks have no answers for guildpact. Unmake the Drake can spell GG as well.
-Against a midrange deck like angler-delver, MBC, or kuldotha? Board out all the LD and turn the deck into old-school pestilence control full of wrench mind and duresses. Pestilence should eliminate any of their "card advantage"
-Against stompy, bogles, affinity, elves, burn etc - I find the LD helpful because they are so land light. I look to ritual into pestilence and will swap SOME land hate for wrench mind (except against affinity obvi).
Not ballsy enough to take it to a league yet... Have tuned it a bit, but still open to suggestions. Am really impressed with dark ritual in a pestilence deck - on top of allowing pestilence/LD/angler very early it can allow for surprise pestilence drain for 3 after opponent drops creatures they THINK will be safe.
