Artifact (4)

Turning lands into artifacts and then destroying those artifacts.

Liquimetal Coating + Splinter is the core of and the meanest part of this mechanism. Myr Landshaper is a backup for Liquimetal Coating for this mechanism and is the only card not represented below. Have fun!

Playing against a single opponent.

You want to go first.

Turn 1. Play a Forest and a Llanowar Elves.

Turn 2. Play a second Forest and play a Liquimetal Coating. Tap your Liquimetal Coating, turning your opponents only land into an artifact. Tap your Llanowar Elves and play a Natural State destroying the artifact you just created.

Note. This slows your opponent down tremendously, limiting what they can physically do on the battlefield.

Turn 3. Play a third Forest and tap your Liquimetal Coating, turning your opponents only land into an artifact. Play a Splinter, exiling the artifact you just created, surching their hand, liberty, and graveyard, exiling all cards that share the same name as the exiled card.

Note. This will completely incapacitate your opponent as long as your playing against a single player with a mono colored deck. They will have very limited creatures and no way of casting more spells. This will still stall out multi-colored decks but they will take a little more work. Let us assume your opponent was capable of summoning a creature on their first and second turns.

Turn 4. Play an Isochron Scepter exiling Evolution Charm. Tap Llanowar Elves and a Forest and then tap Isochron Scepter, creating a copy of Evolution Charm. Choose to search for a Forest, putting it into your hand then shuffle your library. Play the Forest you just put in your hand. Tap Liquimetal Coating turning one your opponents creatures into an artifact, play an Oxidize, destroying the artifact you just created and completely exhausting your hand.

Turn 5. Tap your Liquimetal Coating, turning your opponents last creature into an artifact. Play a Viridian Corrupter, destroying the artifact you just created. Tap Llanowar Elves and a Forest and then tap Isochron Scepter, creating a copy of Evolution Charm. Choose to search for a Forest, putting it into your hand then shuffle your library. Play the Forest you just put in your hand and exhausting your hand again while reducing your chances of drawing more Forests.

Note. From here Viridian Corrupter will make quick work of your opponent. If they have a multi-colored deck, Evolution Charm's second and third abilitys will be devastating as they have been stalled and you relentlessly attack with Viridian Corrupter.

Playing against multiple players.

Again, you want to go first.

Turns 1 - 5 play all the same cards in all the same order, with some minor adjustments.

Turn 2. Target the second most threatening opponent's land.

Turn 3. Target the most threatening opponent's land.

Turn 4. Instead of targeting a creature, target the next opponent's land, even if it's the first opponent you targeted.

Turn 5. Instead of targeting a creature, target the next opponent's land, as long as it's not the second opponent you targeted, even if you target the first opponent for a third time.

Turn 6. You want your Viridian Corrupter to have died by now. If nobody has attacked you and you couldn't block a creature big enough to kill Viridian Corrupter, attack with Viridian Corrupter trying to have Viridian Corrupter die off. Tap Liquimetal Coating and target opponent number 2 as long as they have played a land, otherwise target the next opponent in line. Tap Isochron Scepter, casting a copy of Evolution Charm. Use Evolution Charm's second ability, putting Viridian Corrupter back into your hand. Play Viridian Corrupter, targeting the artifact you created this turn. Tap your Llanowar Elves and play Ancient Stirrings, hoping for an Isochron Scepter.

Turn 7. Play your second Isochron Scepter, exiling Tel-Jilad Justice, exhausting your hand again. Tap Liquimetal Coating, targeting the next opponent's land or creature if a land isn't available. Tap the second Isochron Scepter, creating a copy of Tel-Jilad Justice, targeting the artifact you just created. Tap your Llanowar Elves and your last Forest. Tap your first Isochron Scepter, creating a copy of Evolution Charm. Use Evolution Charm's first ability and search for a Forest. Put it in your hand and shuffle your library. Play the Forest you just put in your hand, exhausting your hand once again.

From here it's a repeat of the things that have already been done.
