S&M means Servant and Master.......... I would like to give credit to the person who came up with Servant and Master. I came up with S&M.

MoC

Master of Cruelties is a fun card to win with and first-strike deathtouch will trade with a ton of creatures. The main goal is the win that way, but any decent hand with Rakdos, Lord of Riots should be played. Master of Cruelties can win on turn 3 with the following

Turn 1-land

Turn 2-land Generator Servant

Turn 3-land Master of Cruelties and Gut Shot the final life.

Why would you play S&M?

If you like

  • Combo/midrange

  • Rogue builds

  • Complicated decks to pilot

  • Beating Tier 1 decks out of almost nowhere

  • Rakdos!

S&M

S&M is a combo-midrange deck based on the combo between Master of Cruelties and Generator Servant. Luckily the deck doesn't require the combo to win.

It plays high numbers of Rakdos, Lord of Riots because if he resolves it's usually a gg. Gut Shot has found a new home along side Lightning Bolt. These guys have double duty to remove and burn

The land base is what you would expect , except we don't run Blackcleave Cliffs.

Why?

Because we need to have untapped mana at all plays in the game, and depending on your creatures this can be a necessity (like my build.) This deck thrives on the synergies, so that's why I chose the cards the way I did

The core

Master of Cruelties

Generator Servant

A perfect hand would have these guys + a burn spell of some sort.

Master of Cruelties is the reason for this deck. Stops almost all creatures in his path. A brick wall. Run 4

Generator Servant. It appears OP 2/1 creatures for is the norm. Generator Servant is no exception. Run 4.

Alternate Win-Con

Rakdos

Wurmcoil Engine

Tombstalker

Rakdos, Lord of Riots vs Siege Rhino? lol a joke. Rakdos resolves and you'll most likely win, especially on turn 4. Run 3-4, but you could probably run 2 in the right build.

Wurmcoil Engine will win games also. A turn 4 hasty Wurmcoil will turn the game around much more than the aforementioned rhino, 2-3.

Tombstalker. We don't do anything with our graveyard and we tend to fill it. Bomb, like the other 2.

The Arsonist and his Fire

Lightning Bolt

Gut Shot

boros reckoner

Lightning Bolt is doubly as good here as it serves another purpose. The last point of damage for Master of Cruelties or casting Rakdos, Lord of Riots this card is an auto 4

Gut Shot. Phyrexian mana isn't fare, and I'm not complaining. It does the same thing as Lightning Bolt but differently. It's important to the combo, 3-4.

Boros Reckoner we can always cast him t3 unless we draw a swamp and no Graven Cairns. Pretty insane. 2-3

Utility

Terminate

Chandra, Pyromaster

liliana of the veil

koth of the hammer

Terminate terminates with extreme prejudice. 2-4

Chandra, Pyromaster is fantastic, she's almost the perfect planeswalker for this deck. She pings for one and opens up a blocker? Card advantage? Sick brha! We won't be using her final so she'll stick around on the battlefield. Run 1-2

Liliana of the Veil paves the way for our other creatures and helps out Tombstalker 3-5

Koth of the Hammer ramp the next turn. Untap for Lightning Bolt and his final has nice synergy with Master of Cruelties and Rakdos, Lord of Riots. He's our flex spot. I might take 1 out for an additional land. But I've almost never had land issues. 0-2

Lands:

  • Lands are 4 of unless noted

Blood Crypt is a shock land

Bloodstained Mire, fetch land for those Blood Crypts or basics

Wooded Foothills. We have a red base so this fetch, and conveniently less than 10$ each

Graven Cairns is an awesome fixer, we can get away with 4 because we need rediculous mana fixing, but 3 is better for consistency

Lavaclaw Reaches is our man........land, 1-3

I would like to caution running less Rakdos, Lord of Riots and his enablers.

Why? Because it actually decreases your ability to cast him. Less Gut Shots and he's harder to cast.

Sb is more generic atm

+1 and link your deck I'll check it out!

Sideboard

Volcanic Fallout aggro/other swarm archetypes

Dragon's Claw burn

Pithing Needle this bad boy literally hits everything, infect lands, affinity, Karn

Rakdos Charm also hits affinity, deals with graveyard and hits twin

Slaughter Games deals with all combo decks, especially Living End, also good against tron

Shatterstorm insane when it lands. Maybe gona bump it up to 2

Fulminator Mage tron, amulet bloom etc

Cards that did not make the cut

Batterskull isn't a creature for Rakdos, Lord of Riots or Generator Servant's ala haste

Rogue's Passage top slow and we need colored mana

Thoughtseize Inquisition of Kozilek Duress etc. our creatures aren't like BG/x, the discard suite doesn't function well (been tested)

Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth can't be fetched, we have enough fixing, and it could help the opponent

Grim Lavamancer lack of fuel and requires mana

TBC

Updates Add

Since I'm not going to any tournaments soon, there's no reason for me to hide the actual deck (I wanted to be the one to win if I did haha)

Changed it up. This build rocks! (Punpunpun from my old version)
