Excuse me, sir! You're going the wrong way! You want to be attacking in that direction.

Join our Revolution and play Flash Tempo with a twist!

Funny thing with this deck: All the removal and tempo plays have an ulterior motive -- converting their creatures to our cause!

The Revolutionary General

Willbreaker - read the card. We will be targeting, and we will not suffer its removal.

Fun things WB can do:

  • They cast Emrakul, we steal Emrakul. Would they like Emrakul to attack?
  • Ishkana lands with 4 spiders, we steal her and her spiders.
  • Spell Queller countered our Tamiyo. We cast Willbreaker, steal SQ, and sac it to Evolutionary Leap.

Minute Men

These flash troops can appear at any time.

Harbinger of the Tides - Bouncing a creature for 2 mana is okay. Getting a 2/2 in addition is better. But with Willbreaker, this gets silly:You target a creature with HotH, then WB takes it, then HH fails to bounce it, because it's no longer a "creature an opponent controls". For a mere UU, you get 2 creatures and they lose 1 creature.

Bounding Krasis , Nebelgast Herald - tap something down a turn (or steal it and untap it).

Elder Deep-Fiend - steal 4 creatures with one guy?

Mizzium Meddler - not even casting Ulamog will take out Willbreaker! Mizzy will sacrifice himself if necessary, before we convert the Eldrazi Titan to our cause.

Walk with Me

Kiora, Master of the Depths - minus to find the creature we need. Plus to tap/untap target creature - maybe theirs!

Tamiyo - +2, two creatures they control become our creatures.

Or maybe run:Surrak, the Hunt Caller - remember this guy? might be an idea if we want to immediately attack with our stolen creature.

Our Weapons

Dromoka's Command - Your basic fight card, but when Willbreaker steals their creature, the targeting then becomes invalid and the effect fizzles! So you get their creature. And then another creature because you put a +1 counter on something else.

Stasis Snare - for the really troublesome creatures, it gives an option to really be gone with it.

Turn Aside - when Willbreaker finally lands, we want to be sure it sticks, so keep up an extra blue.

Evolutionary Leap - search for our leader. Oh and because we have flash creatures, often we can cast them on the spot! Finally, it's a way to eliminate creatures that we stole in case our illustrious leader is taken off the field.

Away With Leave

Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   is a very persuasive character. We'd love to have him but can't afford his services. First the loot gets us the lands or spells we need. Second, his +1 will bring a new combatant to our side, and third his minus will get us a spell to help coopt the enemy.
