A little twist on Junk Reanimator that utilizes enchantments and has a toolbox feel.
The gameplan is to play a Cabal Therapy or Lotleth Troll and discard some fatties, then animate them with Animate Dead or Necromancy.
---------The Discard---------
Lotleth Troll - Dumping fatties, beating face and surviving removal is what this guy does best. When we're stuck on a hand with no reanimate or a freshly wiped graveyard we can still ride this guy to victory.
Commune with the Gods - Lets us fetch our reanimate spells while also dropping creatures into our 'yard. Also can fetch up a discard outlet. Talk about versatile!
Mulch - Pitches creatures to our graveyard in two ways. Doesn't hit animate or necromancy though, which is a bummer.
---------The Reanimate---------
Animate Dead - A powerful reanimator with practically no drawback. Grabbing things like Blazing Archon or Ashen Rider turn 2 is a great way to start getting death glares before the game has even really begun.
Necromancy - This giant wall of text basically lets us get the same effects as animate dead but with a little bonus. For the one extra mana we invest we also get to catch our opponents off-guard with ETB abilities or a surprise blocker.
Unburial Rites - The staple of the original Junk Reanimator archetype. Getting two creatures off one card is already useful, incidentally milling into it is even more so.
---------The Grease in the Cogs---------
Siege Rhino - Provides a decent body, gets through blockers, has incidental life gain and can even kill the opponent without attacking. Even without a big reanimate target these guys are always useful.
Lightning Greaves - What's better than having a giant creature way earlier than we're supposed to? Smacking our opponent with it the turn it comes into play. Also protects our trolls and rhinos.
Replenish - Brings back several reanimate spells at once after a long game. Can also be used to grab Suppression Field if it's SB in.
---------Combos---------
Ashen Rider
+
Necromancy
Double vindicate at instant speed that exiles.
Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur
+
Necromancy
Surprise! Discard your hand!
Moldgraf Monstrosity
+
Necromancy
Instead of getting one creature, I'll think I'll take two and lose the enchantment.
A decent graveyard + Replenish Practically end the game on the spot. (I need a judge on this one as Animate and Necromancy have been errata'd to aura and Replenish's oracle reads "Aura's with nothing to enchant", but Animate and Necromancy can gain valid targets.)
---------What I Don't Have---------
I already know these cards will benefit this deck significantly but their price prohibits me from putting them in. Please don't suggest the following:
Entomb
Griselbrand
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite
Avacyn, Angel of Hope
