Sideboard

Hi there people, I'm Mike and have been playing MTG for the last 7/8 years and have recently gone into modern. I have a history of Elves however since the Elf decks have a lot of fetches in them I cannot afford to build that type of deck. I therefore decided I wanted to build something to perhaps catch people off guard and therefore have recently finished designing my first competitive Modern deck.

The idea of this deck is to go infinite as soon as possible with the fall back plan being damage and controlling the game with the counterspells. You go infinite on potentially turn three, here is the sequence:

T1: Play island followed by a Judge's Familiar to protect your combo pieces, or play a Temple of Deceit to set up the combo.

T2: Play Pili-Pala

T3: Play Grand Architect, then attack with Pili-Pala. Then tap your Grand Architect to add 2 mana to activate an artifacts activated ability, targeting Pili-Pala, then when Pili-Pala untaps it adds 1 blue mana to the mana pool. Use the 1 mana to make Pili-Pala blue and then infinitely tap and untap Pili-Pala to add mana and eventually beat your opponent with an infinite Blue Sun's Zenith.

I realize their are similar versions of this deck and I have seen them, therefore I see what other people have done, however I have chosen to not bother including an additional win condition over Blue Sun's Zenith apart from damage since there is no need and the other spots can be used to protect the combo.
