A little intro to this deck and the idea behind it. My friends and I were getting bored of our multiple thousand dollar decks. So we decided to look at the Commanders by Power Level [EDH Tier List] and pick tier 4 or lower generals and build a deck with a strict total $50 budget to really challenge our deck building skills and get back to when commander was not about throwing Mana Crypts and fetch lands into every deck.

So I built this deck with the idea of being a Grixis Ghostly Flicker deck, full of ETB effects and spells to flicker my creatures. I picked Thraximundar because he's a strong back up plan and Sedris, the Traitor King is tier 2.5.

My primary plan is to set up Archaeomancer/Mnemonic Wall/Izzet Chronarch with Ghostly Flicker/Displace/Illusionist's Stratagem to reuse any of my creatures ETB effects at instant speed and repeatedly. How it works is you have say Inferno Titan and Archaeomancer on the field, then you cast Displace and target both of them, when the spell resolves you deal three damage around the table and return the Displace to your hand to use again whenever you like! This also interaction allows an you to get infinite mana with Peregrine Drake as well.

Another Infinite combo is Dualcaster Mage + Ghostly Flicker . How is works is you cast Ghostly Flicker on any creature/land then respond to it with Dualcaster Mage targeting Ghostly Flicker. The copied Ghostly Flicker then targets Dualcaster Mage which copies the original Ghostly Flicker and so on until you have infinite mana and infinite ETB's of whatever creatures you have on the battlefield!

Panharmonicon and Deadeye Navigator are obviously ridiculous in this deck as well and enable many combos as well.

Some of the deck building guidelines I've tried to incorporate are 10 mana accelerates, 10ish card draw/advantage type spells and generally keep to the theme of budget flicker cards.

Some weaknesses I've experienced while playing the deck are token strategies (because Thraximundar isn't very strong against them prosh, the skyraider of kher), counterspell control (because thrax costs so much and if my cards don't interweave then they are kinda weak individually) and decks that are good at killing artifacts/lands (when bounce lands like Izzet Boilerworks get destroyed it hurts quite a bit because the deck is mana hungry in general).
