When I found Ikoria I knew I'd fall in love with the set. The artwork is stellar and the Mutate mechanic is excellent! I always wanted to like the Simic guild, but I never really took the time to make a strong Graft or Adapt deck.

Then, when I started getting Ikoria cards I realized that I could build a deck that functions similarly to a Simic deck, without the restrictions of Blue/Green (a combination I've never been a huge fan of).

I've never made a deck solely out of creatures before, but I figured Mutate gives me a solid substitute for sorceries and enchantments. Plus, I simply couldn't resist the permanent cost reduction from Umori, the Collector. It's a work-in-progress and I haven't play-tested it yet. However, I plan on trying it out once events start back up in my area. Whenever that may be.

My dream combos are (in order of Mutation):

Treeshaker Chimera + Archipelagore (Under) + Huntmaster Liger (Under) And then go FULL-OFFENSIVE.

Fiend Artisan + Necropanther (Over) + Boneyard Lurker (Over)

Mysterious Egg + Glowstone Recluse (Over) + Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt (Over) Making a 9/11 Powerhouse with Reach and Double Strike.

I intend on taking out Biomancer's Familiar once I find a good substitute that isn't so blatantly Simic.
