This is my Second FNM Deck, Rakdos edition. First Deck is Guardians of the Black Lotus.

After a few FNM and lots of playtesting, I have switched this deck a million times wondering what was wrong. Originally tried Main focus of Unleash with Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch leading the charge. But I made the mana curve too high with Desecration Demon and Stormbreath Dragon. 2 Cards too good to not consider in this deck.

Or so I thought... Overall against Control Decks, almost a guaranteed loss. So decided to go more creature aggro. Results were better, but not there yet. Really with Rakdos, you have to go either full control or full aggro. Luis Navas showed going full aggro is a solid path as he won GP Santiago with a similar deck. I give credit to him because I added in Rakdos Shred-Freak in place of Desecration Demon because he showed how much aggro you truly need with these two colors.

Playtest it! Upvote it! Let me know what you guys think! I added some cards to the maybe board that are possible sub ins. Thank you.

First FNM for this block, and worst FNM play for me lol. Went 1-3 (only win was a bye : /). Considering my last 3 FNM were 3-1, 3-1-1, and 4-1 with nayan, starting to miss that deck haha. Gained lots of knowledge that created some changes to the Deck. Honestly thought to see more creature aggro, but still saw a ton of control decks around; this is what I faced.

Game 1: Esper Control (0-2). Was not ready for this deck at all. Second game I made adjustments to bring in 3x Slaughter Games, and they worked well, got rid of Elspeth and Blood Baron, and with this threats gone, it took like 20 turns of control until he used Ashiok on one of my exiled bigs. I am adding a fourth Slaughter Games and am going to look into adding more aggro to sideboard potentially. (Need help vs Devoted Esper and American Control).

Game 2: Azorius Enchantment (0-2). I was pissed I lost to this deck. Should of been a win, especially with all the removal this deck has. My mana curve was hurting all night, which is why I changed it up a bit, bringing in more lethal 2 and 3 drops. Game 1 I was mana screwed, game 2 he got Ordeal of Heliod to pop and won a close one.

Game 3: Buff'em Boros (1-2). Another series where mana curve was hurting. Have the right amount of removal in deck that should pave the way to wins against creature and buff creature decks.

Overall, I replaced:

2x Read the Bones -----> Whip of Erebos

3x Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch -----> Mogis's Marauder

4x Thrill-Kill Assassin -----> Spike Jester

Even though it does not seem that I reduced the mana curve, this is a big step in the right direction. The Whip will be huge against control decks, or another way to bring in damage and lifelink. Mogis Marauder and Spike Jester bring in the aggro I want early game. We shall see what happens next friday.
