  • Version of my spam deck without a money limit worry.

  • Plenty of blue spells to deal with threats early and create tokens using talrand.

  • Plenty of scry and card draw to help you use combos to get fatty's out or reset the opponents board. (ulamogs and stormtide are probably what you want to get out)

  • show and tell/aetherplasm + Ulamog = op // If you have a fatty in your hand early, have some tutoring options like mystical tutor along muddle the mixture to go and grab show and tell.

  • Wipeout = auto-win against mono color decks and terrifying to all the others.

  • Avoid Exiles on fattys through diplomatic immunity or champion's helm. Could also use on Talrand to keep your tokens going.

  • Capsize has won me a few games; simply keep sending their biggest threat back to stall and create tokens while doing so until you draw into a real answer. You could also send back, and then counterspell it when it comes back out.

  • Strongest in a 1v1

  • Proteus staff your tokens to summon your creatures for 3

  • Threw in land warfare mechanics such as crucible of the worlds and strip mine

  • Now that I've looked at other talrand decks, the name might be a misnomer or at least less applicable by comparison. This deck definitely isn't completely shut down by someone targeting talrand. It has half as many spells as some decks that may literally only run talrand with maybe 2-4 creatures. However, I think this deck is a lot stronger with the creatures added and definitely more balanced with more win conditions rather than solely relying on talrand and tokens to win the game. However if you want to edit, taking out creatures is definitely where you want to start.

Weakness: Better against fewer people, It's hard to control 3 people with this deck and it's likely your friends will team up against you after you've sent all their commanders back twice. Threat generation is a real concern when your in a 3 person or 4 person free-for all and this deck is fun to play but admittingly probably rather annoying to go against. Also probably fairly weak against rush down and infect decks.

Edits: nim deathmantle is probably what I'm most iffy about at this point in the deck.
