The janky idea behind this deck is that if you could change the color of a spell or permanent to red or blue, suddenly Red Elemental Blast, Pyroblast, Blue Elemental Blast, Hydroblast, Active Volcano, and Flash Flood all become a lot better. Basically, each of them becomes: "Pay one mana, destroy target permanent." The mechanics of making that happen may be janky, but the effect is powerful and you can't beat that rate.

As it turns out, there are several (mostly bad) old cards that change other cards' colors. So this deck is all about changing the colors of spells and permanents and then finding ways to control the game with color-matters cards. It's worth noting as well that chances are some of the color-matters cards will be relevant on their own depending on what colors your opponents are playing. In fact, black is the only color for which there is no natural color hate in the deck.

Jori En, Ruin Diver was my previous commander for the deck, but now that the price has come down, I'm trying Keranos, God of Storms. Jori En is decent, since you often need to cast two spells for one desired effect, but Keranos just seems more consistent: indestructible with an upkeep trigger that either gets you more cards or lets you bolt (and target) something.

As for win-cons, um, is winning important? Niv-Mizzet, Parun is a solid option. Akroma, Angel of Fury is a big creature. Stormbreath Dragon can probably be a threat, too. Maybe you can get a Ral, Izzet Viceroy emblem if your opponents aren't paying attention. Who knows? Look, you wouldn't be reading this far if winning were your #1 priority anyway. You'll figure it out. Or you won't. But you'll have fun either way.

P.S. Obviously Painter's Servant would be perfect in this deck. I just don't think it is worth ~$36 when the deck works well enough without it. But if the price comes down, or if you have one, or if you do think paying ~$36 for a single jank card is worth it, then it should definitely be included.
