The reasoning behind this deck was to make a cheap, fast, fun deck that would be competitive in Modern. I don't have a lot of disposable income for MTG anymore so I was browsing through decks and came across one that was similar. I took the theme of the deck and ran with it, making some major modifications to ultimately boost the damage more, and help guarantee it lands.

This Blue and Red deck utilizes low CMC creatures that have abilities that trigger when casting instants and sorceries targeting them such as Kiln Fiend and Nivix Cyclops . The creatures get boosted by the instants and sorceries themselves, then boosted by their own innate abilities. Add in cards that give the creatures double strike, such as Assault Strobe and I can get massive amounts of damage done by turn 3.

The choices of cards in the sideboard like Goblin Electromancer and Wee Dragonauts would be able to utilize Psychotic Fury and also reduce the casting costs of instants or sorceries, leading to great synergy. This would also work well with the Blistercoil Weird. The Monastery Swiftspear could be swapped out but may slow the tempo of the game. However, there are already many 1 or 2 CMC creatures in the deck.

Great synergies: Kiln Fiend+Assault Strobe+ Uncanny Speed +Mutagenic Growth is a massive amount of damage @ turn 3. You can up this damage too with a 3rd land out and another 1 CMC cost spell or a second Mutagenic Growth draw and a first turn Blistercoil Weird or Monastery Swiftspear.
