Semi-competitive deck I built to play in local tournaments. Comments and criticism (constructive of course) are welcome! This is the first deck I've fully built, and I could really use some help, espyially in designing the sideboard. I honestly have no idea how to build a sideboard.
I'm not playing the ideal version, because I live in Argentina and some cards are way too expensive or just aren't available. For example, only 1 Sweltering Suns, no Disallows, and no Abrades. You could say it's kind of a Budget version.
Basically, the plan is to control the early to mid-game with the burn and counterspells, using that and our card draw to fill the graveyard and find our threats. I personally prefer to drop Cryptic Serpent earlier than Enigma Drake if I can, so that the opponent can waste their counters and removals on it, before I reveal the real threat.
The sideboard is divided between counters (to side in against more aggro decks, and play the "control" side in the match), and smaller creatures and combat tricks (to use against control decks, and play the "beatdown" side). So far the strategy has proven more or less successful, although I find myself needing more tools to deal with creature-heavy decks.
A card-by-card breakdown of the deck is coming soon, probably this weekend, so you'll see my reasonings and be able to give me advice if you can!
Big shoutout and thanks to Thebiggalactus for all his help!
