Introduction

This is my standard U/R Eldrazi deck that aims to win by pinging the opponent with Nettle Drone whilst casting efficient threats and countering those of the opponent's.

The win condition stems from Molten Nursery + Nettle Drone chipping away at the opponent's life total and supplementing this damage through valuable creatures like Vile Aggregate and Dimensional Infiltrator . This is easier accomplished via the acceleration provided by Herald of Kozilek that enables cheaper casting for virtually all of this deck's spells.

I've come to greatly enjoy piloting this deck with its mix of counters and threats. While I am aware a deck of this type will likely never reach tier one status, I am looking to improve and perhaps make it more competitive without buying the format's most expensive eldrazi.

All insight is appreciated. Have I missed any creatures that feed this deck's strategy and are worth maindecking? Any non-basic lands that could serve as upgrades?

I am already experimenting with maindecking cards like Anticipate and Slip Through Space for draw engines, but are there other spells worth including for this purpose?

Deck Breakdown -

Creatures:

• Tide Drifter has proven itself invaluable as both a great blocker and as a means of protecting our more fragile creatures. The extra point of toughness is welcome for Nettle Drone and Dimensional Infiltrator , making them worthy blockers of smaller threats/tokens and less removable.

• Dimensional Infiltrator can work as a combat trick thanks to its flash and as a flyer with pseudo-haste when cast during the opponent's end step. Tapping a Nettle Drone during the opponent's end step followed by this allows for an additional ping of damage and a ready-to-attack flyer on our turn.

• Matter Reshaper provides a formidable body with the possibility to accelerate another permanent onto the board. An undeniably valuable piece of tempo whose effectiveness is maximized by this deck's low mana curve. Replaced Salvage Drone .

• Nettle Drone is central to the deck's strategy of gradually damaging the opponent on both our and their turn. In conjunction with virtually an entire deck of colorless cards, this creature pings consistently.

• Vile Aggregate is a very efficient threat for its cost that will crawl in power if left unchecked. With extra toughness from Tide Drifter , this creature is also a very formidable blocker.

• Herald of Kozilek provides premium acceleration for colorless spells. The potential to cast counters like Void Shatter and Spell Shrivel for two mana or Dimensional Infiltrator for a mere one mana will often force the opponent to play more cautiously.

Enchantments:

• Molten Nursery further enables gradual damage to the opponent. Is very threatening if multiple copies are cast or if paired with a Nettle Drone. Not to be overlooked is the fact that a nursery trigger can ping either players or creatures, potentially brushing away pesky 2/1 or 3/1 creatures from the opponent.

Sorcery:

• Touch of the Void can close games or remove moderate threats, oftentimes for only 2 mana if a Herald of Kozilek is online.

Instants:

• Horribly Awry counters most creatures excluding the opponent's more expensive threats.

• Spell Shrivel counters any spell until later game states when more mana is available.

• Spatial Contortion functions more often as a piece of removal but can also boost a Vile Aggregate to critical mass when it gets through.

Non-Basic Lands:

• Shivan Reef produces colorless mana for use by Dimensional Infiltrator , Spatial Contortion , or Matter Reshaper .

• Spawning Bed can allow for board presence in a pinch if we run out of blockers.
