Putting together what I hope to be a fairly quick/aggressive Ensoul Artifact/
Scuttling Doom Engine
deck. Shrapnel blasts and flying/indestructible ensouled swings for early game, Doom Engine in the mid-game.
I realize that this is very much like pretty much every doom engine/engineer deck. But I wouldn't know which ones to cite. Also, I happened to fall into these cards, and i'm making the best of them with what I've got on hand. So I guess every other standard Engie deck is in my bibliography. I'm lazy.
I have a few Ornithopter [M15] and Darksteel Citadel [M15] in there as well as Tormod's Crypt [M15] for no cost cannon fodder for my Shrapnel Blast [M15] and Ensoul Artifact. The
Hot Soup
is also mostly fodder for those two cards, but I am hoping that it creates a target for removal mid-game as it would make my Scuttling Doom Engine [M15] a little extra dangerous.
Chief Engineer
for the convoke, Phyrexian Revoker for a little safety.
Generator Servant
will hopefully be useful for the convoking, or to swing out fast with a Doom Engine.
I'm unsure of the support spells, I'm hoping to create some speed, and
Jace, the Living Guildpact
should contribute to that. As well as a little bit of slowing with my Dissolve [THS] and his -3. I'm hoping that I never get so late into the game that I have to pop his Ultimate, but the Crypts should help to really flatten my opponent should I ever need to fire that off.
I will probably be playing this deck should I make it to my shop for FNM in time. I don't imagine being able to pick up enough cards to switch anything up really significantly in terms of the main mechanic. But I'd really like to see if this thing can be tooled up a little quicker, or maybe with a stronger momentum that my opponent can't break.
