Urza Tron Budget

Modern*

Maybeboard

One of the few "Net-deck" archetypes I can tolerate being played by anyone is Urza Tron, so I decided to throw my hat into the ring and put one together, but I didn't want to just copy a deck that has been played 1,000 times, so I decided to design one on a fair budget that can actually be competitive. Should also be able to work as a decent deck for teaching new players or an introduction to modern.

If it were in budget I would run It That Betrays, but I decided to let the deck splurge go toward Darksteel Colossus, Indestructible just seems a much better option for most games, Glissa, the Traitor is not going to stop him. But if you do have the opportunity I would highly recommend going the Eldrazi route, puts your opponent in a very bad position at all times, which is the best position for you as the opponent.

I decided to drop Darksteel Colossus in favor of Spearbreaker Behemoth. He is much easier to cast, sometimes on turn 3, while also getting you potential indestructibility on your other creatures, which is a very useful thing. Double green is hard, but for a budget so worth it.

Dropped Chromatic Star for Prophetic Prism, four hells of a lot cheaper, and continuous color fixing in game. loses turn 1 play, but unless it gets reprinted, have to cut corners.

Returned Chromatic Star and dropped Relic of Progenitus
