This deck was designed for multi-player games, specifically for an Emperor-style game. It has little defense of it's own, and for survival mostly relies on some life gain and support from team mates. The focus is on dealing direct damage to multiple opponents through effects like extort, turning life gain into additional damage, and generally making things difficult for multiple opponents at once.

Sanguine Bond and Vizkopa Guildmage are the backbone of this deck, weaponizing life gain. Rhox Faithmender and Wound Reflection add nice multipliers to gain and loss respectively.

I have Exquisite Blood sideboarded as Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond or Exquisite Blood + Vizkopa Guildmage forms an infinite combo, and the group this deck was intended to be used with has house rules against that sort of thing.

Mindcrank provides an additional layer of antagonism, and can mill out an opponent who won't succumb to loss of life.
