Originally a Dragonlord Ojutai dedicated control list. I struggled with reliable and timely win conditions for awhile and the deck fell by the wayside barely being played because I hated not being able to close a game quickly enough in multiplayer situations. I've cut a lot of the "good stuff" in favor of a more clearly defined win condition in a full Approach the Second Sun suite.

This is a dedicated control deck, I didn't want to design another stax deck as I have two different iterations of hatebear combos (and play a lot of Thalia online) so I wanted to gear this more toward being the "police" at the table to make things a bit more difficult for the combo decks at a table. I also didn't want this to be a full on combo deck. Taigam is actually quite good in "Taking Turns" style decks and while I might eventually try that I wanted to see if I could successfully build a dedicated control deck for EDH.

Primary Win Conditions:

1) Approach the Second Sun

2) Rite of Replication Kicked + a ridiculous creature

3) Take their best thing and beat them with it (Bribery, Treachery, Rite of Replication, Phyrexian Metamorph etc)
