Comments appreciated... particularly on SB and the non-creature spells.
FNM, 6/24: Had to make some substitutions, but still went 2-1 (not sure how I ranked). I lost round 1 to Darkblade (0-2), won round 2 against RDW (2-1), and won round 3 against a budget version of soul sisters (2-0).
FNM, 7/8: 2-1. Played Kiln Fiend (2-1), Birthing Pod (2-0), and MBC (0-2)
Standard Win-A-Box, 7/17: 4-1-1 including a split in the finals! In the swiss rounds, I played Mono Red (0-2), B/R Vamps (2-0), U/W Control (2-0), and Valakut (2-0... potentially a little misleading, as he mulled to 5 game one and 6 game two). We then cut to top four, where I beat White Weenie (2-0) before splitting to RUG Twinpod in the finals. We played out a match just for kicks, and he ended up beating me (2-1), but we both played very loosely and I wouldn't draw anything from that result.
FNM, 7/29: Went 2-1 after punting round 2. I played very badly... in my defense, I was drugged up after getting my wisdom teeth out that morning, but it was still ridiculously sloppy. Played against the mono-red event deck (2-0), U/G Ramp (0-2), and Jund Birthing Pod (2-0).
Standard Win-A-Box, 7/31: 1-3-1. Wow. What a bloodbath. Played against U/W Control (0-2), Valakut (0-2), Tempered Steel (2-0), Goblins/ Beastmaster Ascension (1-2... lost this one to misplays), and R/W Tempered Steel with Jor Kadeen (1-1-1). I think the results are more due to user error than deck construction, as I don't have much experience playing the mirror or valakut, but we'll see how it fares in the coming weeks.
FNM, 8/19: 2-1. Beat MBC (2-0) and UB Mill/Lockdown (2-0), lost to Goblins in the finals (0-2).
