The Light meets the Dark here in this Black/White (Orzhov) Deck featuring plenty of Vampires and Planeswalkers galore.
We have multiple combos in this deck I'll explain here:
- Vampire Nighthawk+
Viridian Longbow
+Thornbite Staff
This Combo revolves around getting both of these equipment artifacts on to Vampire Nighthawk with these he will be able to use
Viridian Longbow
to tap (not swing) and deal 1 damage (not combat damage) to a target creature. Since he has Deathtouch target creature will die. Since he has Lifelink you will gain 1 life. Thornbite Staff changes the game because with it when an opposing creature dies Vampire Nighthawk will untap, then repeat until they have no creatures left. Infinite killing spree.
-
Vampire Envoy
+ Paradise Mantle
This combo is basic, when Vampire envoy become tapped you gain a life and when Paradise Mantle is equipped to a creature it taps for any color mana you choose. So with this you have a badass mana ramp that gains you life. Not game changing but not bad either.
-
Woolly Razorback
/
Etched Monstrosity
+ Vampire Hexmage
This combo uses Vampire Hexmage's ability to sacrifice her and remove all counters from target permanent. This can be used to kill Planeswalkers, but we want to use it to get out
Woolly Razorback
as a 4 drop 7/7 and/or
Etched Monstrosity
As a 5 drop 10/10 without having to bother with those petty counters.
- Finally,
Call the Gatewatch
+ insert target Planeswalker
While not really a "combo" this is a sweet card that gets you a Planeswalker out and out quick. We have 5 in this deck Gideon Jura, Gideon, Champion of Justice, Liliana Vess, Sorin, Solemn Visitor, and Sorin, Lord of Innistrad and having a 9/60 chance in your deck to end up with one isn't bad at all. Early in the game I would target the lower drop Planeswalker (especially Sorin, Lord of Innistrad because of his +1) then hope to draw or target the bigger ones later on after you have already bowed one up.
Tell me how you like this deck or any suggestions you may have. Thanks for your support.
