Beware what lies within The Mist! Stephen King's Legendary Tale of Terror!
I wanted to make a creative take on the traditional turbo fog decks.
Fog decks usually win by milling out opponents or waiting until late game to drop one big spell, but I'm aiming to have this deck extend the game so I can abuse Huntmaster, Slumbering Dragon, Curse of the Pierced Heart and to a lesser extent Mayor.
By using the different fog spells (fog, moonmist, druid's deliverance) I'm able to keep huntmaster and mayor out longer hopefully adding an army of 2/2 wolves. Additionally, huntmaster can add some life gain or shock a player & creature.
Also, a Slumbering Dragon pumps every time a creature attacks, meaning all the fog spells will prevent damage and still help the dragon wake up.
Moonmist can be used offensively as well to make Ravanger of the Fells, and Howlpack Alpha unblockable along with the wolf tokens.
Ulvenwald Tracker is a good one drops and can abuse Slumbering Dragons even if they dont' have 5 counters on them.
Deck lacks removal, but fog spells mean I don't need to worry about big threats. Deck also lacks card draw so I added two reforge the soul, but in play testing that hasn't always been that useful.
Do you think the general strategy is enough to consistently win competitively? Should I use Reforge the Soul? or sub it out something that doesn't help my opponents out, like Wild Guess?
I would love suggestions. I'm particularly afraid of facing decks with lots of board sweeps and spot-removal spells. I was thinking of adding Undying Evil to help defend against this, but that'd mean adding black.
