This deck uses cards that get extra value if you control a desert or there is a desert in your graveyard. It's a little bit of a ramp deck with Hour of Promise. However the hour is more to grab the specific desert you need at the time. Use Benefaction of Rhonas to refill your hand or throw a desert/land into your graveyard to fuel Hostile Desert of Ramunap Hydra.
