My first Torpor Orb deck I've been using for a couple months against my buddies.I love the idea of using such a "strange" card as Torpor Orb since this is a good way of using it.

Any help would be appreciated

Why these cards?

Phyrexian Dreadnought + Torpor Orb : A 12/12 with trample basically free.

Hunted Horror + Torpor Orb : A 7/7 with trample resistant to some bad bad black removals.

Torpor Orb + Treacherous Pit-Dweller : Just a 4/3 with no abilities resistant to some black removals. And undying is nice too.

Mana Leak : Just because.

Remand : Pretty nice too. Look at that artwork!

Muddle the Mixture: Counter target instant or sorcery spell. Or MAYBE transmute for Torpor Orb, Mana Leak , Remand , Hunted Horror or Treacherous Pit-Dweller .

Ponder and Preordain: Just to be sure you will have the right cards.

Thoughtseize: Should I switch it for a removal, maybe?

Academy Ruins: What if i need my Torpor Orb or Phyrexian Dreadnought back?
