So I've been trying to brew up a decent modern deck for awhile now, and I think I finally found one. The basic gameplay here is to get out one of our ETB stoppers Doorkeeper Thrull, Hushbringer, or Torpor Orb, then play some threats like Vexing Devil, Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, or Phlage, Titan of Fire's Fury. Our ETB stoppers keep these dudes from getting sacrificed when they enter, and our Arena of Glory means that we can oftentimes swing with a titan turn 3.

Our ETB stoppers don't only stop our ETB's, they also stop our opponents' as well. Doorkeeper Thrull shuts down The One Ring ETB, all of them stop Primeval Titan ETB, and if you take a look at the creatures in the modern meta, you'll see a lot of them care about ETB's. (i.e. Guide of Souls, Amped Raptor, Murktide Regent, Orcish Bowmasters, etc.)

One thing to watch out for is our opponent's evoke creatures. While our ETB stoppers stop the ETB effects on cards like Subtlety, they also stop the creatures from getting sacrificed to evoke, so sometimes our opponent just winds up with a free creature, which can be pretty annoying.

Luckily, we've got a pretty good removal suite, with lots of efficient removal such as Fatal Push, Lightning Bolt, Galvanic Discharge, and Static Prison.
