My Local game Shop hosted a Thursday Night Pauper tournament featuring only cards from Standard.

So with the limited selection I choose to go with a Mono-White Aggressive deck that has a good general base. That said, let me explain some of the areas in the deck

Thraben Inspector is your best turn 1 starter, he's a 1/2 that gets you a clue for late game draw and card advantage early on.

Cleric of the Forward Order is your life gain buddy as the more you have out the more life you'll produce so even at turn two you're gaining 2 life

unruly mob is your pump guy so when you're aggressive with creatures to control the battlefield, he'll benefit from it

Topan Freeblade & Knight of the Pilgrim's Road are just good white humans especially Topan with the vigilance and renown

Inspiring Captain is good biggie that buffs everyone to help lop-side the battlefield in your favor
