Just an attempt to make a Melira combo deck after the banning of Birthing pod which I think is a blessing and a curse. Sure the pod helps find the pieces to combo off but without most people won't be expecting a Melira combo deck so the element of surprise is in your favor.
It also helps that Kitchen Finks is a really good card by itself which a lot of Abzan decks run anyways so they may not put you on combo when they see it.
As for the card choices I will go over some of the choices that may or may not be obvious.
Garruk Relentless
Garruk is a backup win condition that also has the capability of helping the finding combo pieces once he flips.
Yisan, the Wanderer Bard is another way to tutor for combo pieces. While he is a little harder to get exactly what you need when you need it compared to pod you don't have to sacrifice a creature to use his ability. He also has a power and toughness so he can attack/block which is something pod can't do. Also the fact his ability can be used on your opponents turn is relevant and useful
Bloodthrone Vampire additional sacrifice outlet that can be as big as you want when comboing with melira and can be another way to win if redcap is nowhere to be found. I also wanted a two drop sacrfice outlet so I could have access to one if needed and I have used yisan once already.
Varolz, the Scar-Striped
Yet another sacrafice outlet. This one is more resilient than the others which is nice. The ability to scavenge on to things is a nice option to have if needed.
Golgari Charm I am currently testing one copy in the main board as a versatile way to protect my creatures. It also deals with small annoying creatures like ones with infect pretty nicely. Enchantment hate is also not completely irrelevant either.
Ghost Quarter Pretty much strictly for Inkmoth Nexus as one of the ways you can lose with infinite life against affinity is taking a bunch of poison damage. Since both affinty and infect run it might as well try making those matchups better. Also not bad against tron.
