Persistence should be a virtue. Melira, Sylvok Outcast makes it unfair when Heartmender, Kitchen Finks, Aerie Ouphes, and Murderous Redcap don't get -1/-1 counters when they die.

Here are some combos:

Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Viscera Seer, and your choice of Kitchen Finks, Heartmender, Murderous Redcap, or Aerie Ouphes give you Scry 1 infinite times. Kitchen Finks additionally gives you infinite life, and Murderous Redcap wins.

Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Blasting Station, and any creature with Persist wins the game.

Aerie Ouphes and Melira, Sylvok Outcast deal infinite damage to infinite target creatures with flying.

Phyrexian Unlife makes it so you can't lose with Melira, Sylvok Outcast out.

Quillspike and Heartmender remove -1/-1 counters from your creatures with persist if you don't have Melira, Sylvok Outcast out.
