Don't mind me. Just Brewing.

I ordered my copies of some of the marvel cards and am waiting for them to arrive.

Secret lairs should have an initial print run and print to demand so they can capitalize on FOMO without players missing out. Wizards is toxic AF. This is basic problem solving... I bet a lot of people would pay a few bucks extra to get priority printing. Secret lairs sell 100% of the product, so print to demand ensures that everyone who orders in time gets one and gets rid of the digital queue (and rumored bypasses and glitches) and allows people to buy on pay day instead of Mondays during the work day.... the process is such a colossal mess on so many levels. I assume the executives see it as an ego booster and won't hear "no" as an answer.

Selling 100% of your product every time means you're guaranteed profits.... so it's basically printing money... why not ship more units instead of selling FOMO? FOMO is a form of artificial scarcity to generate demand and justify limited quantity for the sake of raising prices... but since secret lairs sell 100% of product regardless of profit margins... the FOMO tactic is largely meaningless unless A: Some one is raising prices arbitrarily (but they're already designed for maximum cost benefit on the primary market) or B: some one at wizards is using the secondary market to make a personal profit.

Controversial opinion: This Marvel secret lair should have another printing. It was a sucker punch to collectors.
