I have always loved angels in every kind of lore. This deck has gone through many revisions from the original ideas of Bruna, the Fading Light  , Aurelia, the Warleader, Firja, Judge of Valor, Kaalia of the Vast, Giada, Font of Hope Rienne, Angel of Rebirth, Atraxa, Praetors' Voice and finally Esika, God of the Tree  .

This deck has taken me a long time to create and get just right for how I want it to be. I realized very early on that Angels are a hard creature type to get support for. Having the random tribal cards here and there helped but it was never enough as all of my ideas kept changing to include new stuff. I have recently retired Esika, God of the Tree   as every time I would bring the deck out to new tables people would always target me out for the sheer fact of my commander. I then set myself on a mission...And Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile was born. I really liked the theme that the Painbow deck was doing but never really cared for 5-color good stuff...However...I fell in love with Jenson. The deck has always wanted to run Maelstrom Archangel as the commander but as it isn't legendary, I was not able to do so. That being said, around different tables I have the rule 0 conversation and if they aren't ok with me using Archangel as my commander no biggie. So running Jenson in the command zone was the best thing I could ask for. While he doesn't consistently give me angel tokens he will help with scrying through my deck to insure that I can get things that I would need or want as well as being a mana filter when I need it.
