When I built my first commander deck I loved the fact that my commander (Athreos) was so hard to remove, I then considered what other god might be fun to build around. I then settled on Xenagos, timmy overlord.

This deck plays super fun, Xenagos is incredibly powerful with a bunch of huge 6 or 7 drops. It's surprisingly resilient to removal, if they manage to remove one fatty you'll just drop the next one next turn.

Notable combo's and interactions are:

• Malignus plus evasion or the lack of blockers, you just oneshot them. (or Chandra's Ignition).
• Extra combat steps are huge, triggering Xenagos again is insane.
• Blood Moon/Magus of the Moon, damn you maze of ith.
