A mono black deck which focuses on removing my opponents creatures and bringing them back onto my side of the board.
The stand out cards of this deck are:
Reanimate: which allows me to bring creatures to my side at any point, without having to worry about killing the creature on the same turn.
Grim Return: allows for some great combos with my creature removal. Further allowing to populate my board with my enemies beasties.
Both of these cards allow me to bring their threats safely under control ready to be used against them.
Debtors' Knell: is a more permanent form of return, is less conditional and becomes more apparent as the game goes on.
However I need removal to be able to do this:
Destroy Creatures:
Ultimate Price: stock standard mono color creature removal. Strong, low cost and effective.
Go for the Throat
: Pretty hard to be better than this card in my opinion for creature removal. Does it's job great.
For Indestructible beasties:
Geth's Verdict
: Great card. Works fantastical in this deck.
And for the Mass Removal:
Mutilate: can't get much better than this card. Especially in a black deck.
The Phyrexian Obliterator is to help further the creature removal and the
Lashwrithe
is to not only be a threat of itself but to attack to creatures I bring to my side if required or useful.
The Crypt Ghast and Dark Ritual is simply to allow for more mana which may sometimes be necessary to kill off some creatures and bring them back on the same turn.
Debt to the Deathless is a great card which can be used to refresh my life total after using Reanimate and/or deal the killing blow when required.
So that's the deck, please leave any thoughts on what can be improved. I'm thinking of moving this to modern but I like the way the deck works currently. However if anyone has any ideas which may make this better please let me know.
Thank you and Good Day.
