I'm new to Tapped Out and the EDH format. I am trying to balance a deck and tighten it up before I take it out for play. The main theme of this deck is use of counters. I am pushing mainly charge counters and proliferate. I am working with more of a artifact shell than a creature shell and focus on reusable effects. My main concern with this deck is that I feel like I have sacrificed interaction for theme. I don't have many ways to interact with an opponent's board and I also don't have much card advantage. Also, I need to learn how to balance my mana base for EDH. Any help with that would be appreciated.

Summary

Simic Counter Combo Artifact

Counters! Counters for everything! Not so much piles of +1/+1 counters, but incremental repeated value and combos using counter mechanics.

Combos

  1. Novijen, Heart of Progress + Cauldron of Souls = Non-token creature recursion
  2. Arcum Dagsson + Myr Turbine = Search into play an artifact every turn

Updates Add

This deck was played in a casual "Fanmander" match with Kathleen of Loading Ready Run as one of the players in the game.

The Decks

This was a five player game. It played against a very scary Kemba Kai deck, Graham Stark's Treefolk deck, the Nahiri Commander 2015 deck and the Ob-Nix Commander 2015 deck.

Considerations for Multiplayer

Magistrate's scepter was removed from the deck and replaced with Spore flower this time. In previous play-testing the scepter makes you too much of a target.

The Game Itself

The game was hilarious. A Roar of Reclamation returned a majority of combo pieces from my graveyard to play. I was able to charge the Lux Cannon to six counters every turn and activate the destroy ability twice each turn due to the Clock of Omens, Unwinding Clock and multiple artifacts being on the battle field. I was also able to drop two Titan tokens from a Titan Forge and a Power Conduit in the same manner.

Did I win?

Of course not! I became prime target of all other players and shortly after that point and a Martial Coup for 14 removed my Titans and left me open to a group take-down.

Would I do it again?

Yes! The deck performed exactly as hoped. Allowed me to be sneaky, ridiculous and shoot a giant magic cannon like a machine gun. What more could you ask for in casual?
