EARLY ROUGH DRAFT OF MY NEW & REMODELED ZACAMA

You like being an unapologetic Timmy? You dislike the playstyle of being some sweaty neckbeard who's hyperfocused on 1 and 2 drops because that's "efficient"? You like seeing players tremble in fear over your massive deck and the beefy, thick creatures you throw down every turn? The pure fun of playing Zacama, Primal Calamity is that when your engine is hot, the game does turn into a theatrically play of your opponent's running through the woods in terror of the 3-headed king, throwing every bit of removal and counterspells his way, only to be met with an inevitable doom despite their efforts. The power of Zacama, Primal Calamity is while most decks prefer to play smart, efficient spells to gradually build value and/or a combo, this deck embraces its nature of big mana, big creatures, and big CMC. Many would say this deck is built incredibly greedy; however, I would argue that greed is subjective.

Zacama, Primal Calamity is my very first and still to this day, my favorite commander. I decided to split this decklist from my original Zacama because it's built so differently from this new one due to the inclusions of Lost Caverns of Ixalan.

The biggest difference between the original and the LCI version is that the brand-new dinosaurs help give the deck a board presence outside of relying upon Zacama's big body to keep people from attacking us and/or pressure our opponents. This helps take the need to combo off and can just beat people to death. And luckily WotC gave many of the dinosaurs good ETBs which compliments well with what we enjoy doing with Zacama which is abusing his land-untapping ETB. This ETB is incredibly powerful not only because it essentially makes Zacama cost free, but can generate an unholy amount of mana with set up. Another huge boost to the deck is Pantlaza, Sun-Favored, giving us a plan B commander of sorts. The Discover trigger is super to our archetype as it helps us sling our bombs more, helping with both mana and card advantage. The high number of big bodies also compliments Rishkar's Expertise and Garruk, Primal Hunter to give us massive bursts of cards, one of best aspects of

Temur Sabertooth + Zacama, Primal Calamity + 12 or more from lands = ETBs and mana

Zacama, Primal Calamity + Sanctum of Eternity + 12 or more from lands = ETBs and mana

Zacama, Primal Calamity + Shivan Gorge + loop = Win

loop with Zacama, Primal Calamity + Garruk's Uprising or Guardian Project or Up the Beanstalk = Play entire deck for win

Zacama, Primal Calamity + Cloudstone Curio + Any other creature + Lands produce more than Zacama+Creature's CMC = mana and ETBs

Dockside Extortionist + Ham Sandwich = mana and ETBs

SELF-REMINDER TO PROXY UB CARDS CAUSE I DONT FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THAT TRASH LOL
