Zandl's RUG Midrange-y Control

Standard RUG (Temur)

zandl

Sideboard

Intentionally control, accidentally midrange, apparently great.

I set out to build this like a heavy control deck, but the colors really pushed it toward being a midrange deck. Can I get the best of both worlds? Preliminary testing suggests I might.

Now it's more-or-less designed to stave off any early-game strategies and then immediately jump at any opportunity to get ahead on board advantage when the situation arises. The slew of Walkers does it well and I've been pleasantly surprised with how well Xenagos, the Reveler fits into a more control-themed deck.
