As the green mana hovered over the sky, the energy shifting relentlessly in the air until it formed a giant sphere in the sky. It had formed the fifth sun: The Green Sun. The four other suns rose into the sky around the newly born sun. The Zenith of the Five had come, and soon the whispers of Phyrexia would echo through the world.
Hello, and welcome to Atarka's Brews. During the first week of my deck techs, I will be posting a deck each day for the time being.
Today's deck tech is based on a deck tech by karn862. This deck uses a strategy based on getting out cards by using Fist of Suns to get out the more expensive and powerful cards by paying WUBRG instead.
Our main card is Fist of Suns, which allows us to play this strategy in the first place. With the cost of everything being payable with WUBRG, then even the most powerful bombs at fifteen mana can be cast for five. Fabricate is a good card to help us get to Fist of Suns, so it is a three-of in the deck, making sure we get fist somehow.
Next we have Channel the Suns which allows us to trade in 3G to get a mana of each color. This allows us to filter our mana a little more efficiently. Other cards to filter our mana are
Abundant Growth
, Fertile Ground and
Utopia Sprawl
. All of these allow us to tap lands to get mana for casting the super powerful bombs for WUBRG. Arbor Elf can untap any forests that may be enchanted with such cards.
Then we have our Bringers. These creatures can be cast for WUBRG instead of their normal costs of 7CC. Each of these have a special effect that allows us to leap forward in the game.
Bringer of the Black Dawn
allows us to Vampiric Tutor each turn for any card of our choosing, letting us grab any card we need as long as the bringer survives.
Bringer of the Green Dawn
gets out of hand after a few turns, slowly generating an army of 3/3s.
Bringer of the Blue Dawn
gives us card advantage, while
Bringer of the White Dawn
Brings back any Fist of Suns to the field should they be killed. Finally,
Bringer of the Red Dawn
gets us a creature from our opponent each turn and removes a blocker in turn.
Finally we have our A-bombs, which are cards that become overpowered after Fist of Suns enters the field. Cruel Ultimatum switches the momentum of the game from our opponent to us, and
Violent Ultimatum
kills anything of importance to our opponent or of threat to us. Time Stretch Provides us with two more turns to amass a board state and win the game.
Lastly we have 20 Forests and that's the deck tech. Please leave a suggestion as any are appreciated. Thank You and have a wonderful day.
