This is a deck I'm developing. It's not the usual aggro deck because I noticed that a zombie deck is weak against red and some white decks. So I decided to add some counters and remove some cards that destroy creatures to be stronger.

STRATEGY:

The basis is to attack with Gravecrawler every turn, even better if there is a Diregraf Captain that gives a +1/+1 and makes the opponent lose 1 life every time a zombie is put in the graveyard. Using Dark Ritual I can sometimes put the Geralf's Messenger in game before the third turn, and then attack every turn. Grimgrin, Corpse-Born is the card for late game, I usually hope not to draw him in my first hand.

Using Ponder and Brainstorm I can draw a few cards, really useful in the first rounds of the game. With Counterspell and Spell Pierce I usually counter the best enchantments and equipments of the opponent, and with Dismember and Geth's Verdict I can kill opponent's creatures.

COMBO:

One nice combo is to sacrifice Apprentice Necromancer to get back Geralf's Messenger in the game, opponent loses 2 life, then at the end of the turn sacrifice it and put it back to the game with a +1/+1 counter on him and the opponent loses another 2 life. 4 life for just one black mana.

It's also nice to sacrifice Apprentice Necromancer for a Diregraf Captain if opponent has less than 10 life and I have two other zombies on the ground, so that I can attack with all of them giving a +1/+1 for that turn.

It's not a real combo, but when I can I use Brainstorm hoping to find a counter card when I don't have one in my hand and the opponent is putting an important card in game.
