My Favorite Color(s) to Use: (though I do dabble with others)

  • Black/Blue/White (Esper)

  • Black/White (Orzhov)

  • Mono-White

  • Mono-Black

  • Mono-Green

I love coming up with my own builds and discussing Deck Strategy with others. I don't do Netdeck builds of anything "Top Ranked" -- not on Paper, and not on Arena (at least never in Ranked matches). I don't have any problem with Netdecking as a concept, I just prefer the challenge of seeing how far I can get ignoring all the most popular combos in any given format.

Feel free to copy any of my decks though, I've got no problem with the concept & consider it a compliment!

Also, if you're on Arena, go ahead and add me if you want to play, test decks, or even just discuss deck strategy & different builds.

I'd say working in 4x Raffine's Towers might be helpful; they're by far one of the best things you can fetch into play with either those 4x Flooded Strands and/or the 4x Polluted Deltas you're already running. Also adds card draw late-game when drawing a normal land is otherwise beyond the point of helping.

No problem, and yeah; your assessment of the 2 dragons isn't entirely unfair. The only thing I'd add is that the main use for Mirrorwing (at least for me) has been less about copying one's own spells, but rather having a 4/5 Flier that the opponent can't single-target destroy without wiping their own board. Obviously he's not 100% reliable against all deck types, but with Red not having much in the way of Hexproof or "Ward X" creatures he's served me quite well as a pseudo-protected creature.

I accepted your invite on Arena, and I have loads of Brawl decks - I'm sure I could throw together a netdeck of two or three other Hell-Queue commanders (whom I normally stay away from) without using wildcards.

That is, if you wanted to be able to run test games against the same particular commander(s) to really hash out the meta. I don't usually netdeck but if you're interested in random queue it might be helpful for identifying some of the more problematic threats and working in potential solutions for them.

Either way looking forward to some Brawl games on Arena soon!

Also Mirrorwing Dragon could be a decent replacement for the Wurmcoil Engine you said you're disappointed with. There's not much in the way of control mitigation for dragons or artifacts, but opponents really hate sniping him.

Bonehoard Dracosaur is also GREAT value each turn, and he's cheap enough to cast that you don't have to worry so much about needing to tutor him into play.

Hope some of this helps, Cheers!

Key to the Archive is nearly an automatic include for me for any mono-colored Brawl deck since it grants you access to a wide array of powerful off-color spells. I've been on a real Brawl kick myself and this one card has saved numerous decks with its versatility.

Also, in terms of disruption, Blood Moon is great for a Mono-red deck, and Winter Moon is another automatic include for me in any Mono-colored Brawl deck since it really upsets multicolor builds (which Hell queue is absolutely full of).

With further regards to Hell Queue, I'd be happy to playtest some Brawl games with you on Arena if you want; just add me (info is on my TappedOut profile here) and that way you can spec it out without having to constantly run hell queue (which does get boring; I have a few Brawl decks I stopped playing just because it got so repetitive)

In any case +1 just for seeing another Arena player using this site.
