I am a casual magic player who has been playing on and off since 2000. Most of my decks are built around creating effective, consistent combos with budget cards, or just farting around. Chances are if you see a card worth more than $5, it's because I had one in a booster or I got one for trade. My goal for decks is for the total cost to be less than $30. Sometimes I slip, but if a deck is more than $60 it probably won't get much real playtesting updates from me, but I still make them for schnicks and giggs.
