I'm Trace. I began in MTG back in early 1994, when Revised had just been released. I played extensively for about the next three years, competing in local tournaments and even in a Pro Tour qualifier (which was very rare in my location back then). Other life pursuits caused me to quit playing, and I proceeded to sell the five to six thousand cards I had accumulated (which included some really great stuff). I began playing again just before the release of M14, and am doing my best to absorb as much information as possible so I can be competitive again. The challenge for me is to make my own decks without really copying the strategies of others. That said, you have to know what others are playing so you can know what you are competing against, right?
