I see what you’re saying about the mana. I played a deck yesterday with a similar mana ratio and ran into a mana screwed issue. Started with 3 in my hand and only drew one more in the next seven turns. I could play things, but just two slowly. I’m also realizing that as much as I like the idea of token decks, making a fast paced deck feels underwhelming. I’m gonna put this theory build to the side for a while while I rework some commander decks, as it sounds like we’re gonna be playing some commander formats in the next few weeks. I will however take some of the things you’ve pointed out and apply those to those decks. I look forward to your input on those if you happen to notice them in the future :-)

Thanks for all the input! I think I’m going to leave the deck as is for now and try playing it before I make more changes. As to the land, I do have the priest, who I count as a land ;) but I imagine that may be one of the first things I would change if need be.

Balaam__ I'm a pretty low budget player. I sold most of my cards a few years ago and got out of magic because I had no one to play with outside of my local gaming store. Recently three friends at church got into it, and that got me back into. As a dad with three kids and as a single income household, I don't have a ton of money to put into it. Truthfully, I don't want to sink a lot of money into. I kind of like the challenge of building low budget decks that are still kitchen table competitive. So as nice and useful as some of those lands are, they are outside the realm of what I really want to put in.

kamarupa that's a lot of good advice. I made some changes based on your suggestions. First though, let me clarify what I meant when I said fast paced. I simply meant low mana cost average, not a "turn 3" win condition. We play a lot of kitchen table MtG, not competitive. Ideally, I have a good setup and finish up the game with Finneas or Overrun by turn 7. Now to the changes. I removed Call of the Conclave and Wake the Reflections like you advised. I agree that don't add much value. I kept Druid's Deliverance because fog is more cost effective, I get the added value of a populate. I also kept Selesnya Charm because of its versatility. I decided to go full-tilt on Hare Apparent, taking advantage of their unlimited number rule and add Cloudshift to abuse this further. I know a lot of people go life gain with token decks, but I wanted to keep this deck more simple and go for a shout out style. Again, I know it's not a crazy competitive deck, but I want something that will be fun to play specifically into my friend's goblin deck. And throwing rabbits at him is hilarious to me. :) Thoughts on the changes?

kamarupa I'm still learning to use tappedout and other sites to check legality. I probably just missed it. Which cards are not 'Modern' legal?
