I've been playing since Urza's block was released in 1998. It's always been casual play, I've never played in any sort of formal setting since I'm too shy to play with people I don't know. I guess the format has always been Vintage, since my play group just has a communal collection dating back to Beta that we pull whatever cards we want out of for our decks. I keep it safe, since I'm the only one that doesn't take years at a time off from playing. With the SOI box I recently bought the collection has hit roughly 17,000 total cards. Only about 6,500 of those are unique cards. I should really get rid of some of these 36 Giant Growth I have at some point, it's getting a little ridiculous.

I love teaching new players. I always jump at the chance to teach other women, since I'm the only girl in my play group and I want more girls to play with! I haven't had any luck in getting my friends' girlfriends excited about the game yet, but at least they know what's going on when we play. My little ones have started begging me to let them play, so I'm teaching some of the basic concepts right now. My Teaching folder has the simple teaching decks I use to help people get comfortable with the basics of the game.
